
Since May 1, a total of 218 suspects have been arrested in connection with livestock theft and 161 cases have been registered in the city.
A spokesman for Lahore police shared that arrests include 35 from Iqbal Town, 61 from Sadar, 44 from Cantonment, 47 from Model Town, 25 from City Police Division and six from Civil Lines.
Capital City Police Officer Bilal Siddique Kamyana, said that operations are ongoing to prevent the theft of sacrificial animals. He emphasised that special attention is being paid to curbing livestock theft, apprehending professional fraudsters and recovering stolen animals.
