Rapper DDG has filed an emergency motion in court to prevent actress and singer Halle Bailey from taking their infant son, Halo, out of the United States.
According to court documents obtained by TMZ, DDG claims Halle’s upcoming international travel to Italy poses significant emotional and psychological risks to their child.
In the legal filing, DDG alleges that Bailey is currently unfit to care for their son due to mental health struggles. He cited a disturbing incident during her pregnancy in which she allegedly took his firearm and left the home without explanation, later finding her outside holding the weapon. He also claims she considered terminating the pregnancy in secret but ultimately chose not to.
Following the birth of their son, DDG says he received messages from Bailey that included suicidal threats and implications of harm toward the baby. He fears that leaving the country would place both mother and child beyond the protective reach of U.S. courts.
This filing comes after Halle Bailey previously accused DDG of abuse, including an incident in which she said he slammed her face into a steering wheel. DDG has denied the allegations, offering a different version of events and submitting photos of injuries he says were caused by Bailey.
With tensions escalating, DDG is seeking sole custody of Halo. If that request is denied, he has asked the court to require a third-party supervisor for all custody exchanges. Additionally, reports suggest that Ring camera footage related to the allegations may be released to the public.
