'Wicked For Good' teaser offers first look at Ariana Grande, Cynthia Erivo and more ahead of trailer release

Ahead of today's official trailer release, Universal Pictures has shared a brief teaser for Wicked For Good, the much-anticipated sequel to the record-breaking Wicked.

The sequel, filmed back-to-back with the original, is expected to continue the story’s success, with many speculating that it could surpass $1 billion at the box office. Early reports also suggest that Universal Pictures is planning various spin-offs and expansions of the Wicked universe.

The teaser offers a first look at several of the film's returning lead characters in updated costumes including Glinda, Elphaba, Madam Morrible, Fiyero, Boq, Nessarose and the Wizard of Oz played by Ariana Grande, Cynthia Erivo, Michelle Yeoh, Jonathan Bailey , Ethan Slater, Marissa Bode and Jeff Goldblum respectively.

Director Jon M. Chu previously explained the decision to rename the sequel Wicked For Good rather than Wicked: Part Two. “Who wants a movie called Wicked: Part Two?” Chu stated, emphasising the importance of offering a fresh perspective with the sequel’s title.

With the sequel set to hit theatres in November, excitement for Wicked For Good continues to build.
