
In a thrilling display of skill and determination, Niba Bhatti emerged victorious in the Ladies' Singles category of the Sindh Ranking Tennis Championship, defeating Sanam Baloch with an impressive 8-1 scoreline to secure the title.
The championship also witnessed stellar performances from young talent. Majid Bachani claimed the Under-13 title with an 8-1 win over Syed Saifan, while Ali Bachani dominated the Under-17 final by defeating Jeand Mehr.
In the Men's Singles semifinals, Owais Khan edged out Shiraz Bhund 8-5, and Bilal Khan overcame Muzammil Bhund in two tough sets, 7-6 and 8-6, to secure their spots in the final.
The Men's Doubles event also saw intense competition. Dr. Saad Baloch and Owais Khan defeated the pair of Shiraz Bhund and Arif 8-3 in the first semifinal, while Nadir Bachani and Muzammil Bhund advanced to the final with an 8-2 win over Munir Durbari and Bilal.
In the 45+ category, Dr. Khalid and Muhammad Essa Ji (KPT) progressed via walkover due to the absence of the opposing team.
The event was graced by the presence of Tennis Association President Javed Riyaz, Karachi Tennis Association Secretary Sarwar Ahmed, Hyderabad Secretary Rafi Durbari, Senior Vice President Shabbir Gul, Dr. Saad Baloch, Rehana Bhatti, Amir Kifayat, Muhammad Essa Ji, Khalid Khan, Javed Malik, and other dignitaries who applauded the young athletes and emphasized the importance of promoting tennis across the province.
