ISLAMABAD:

According to the Ministry of Finance, formal negotiations have begun between Pakistan and the United States on mutual tariff issues.

A video conference was held between Federal Finance Minister Muhammad Aurangzeb and US Trade Representative Ambassador Jamieson Greer, during which both parties exchanged their views in a constructive environment.

Both sides agreed to hold detailed technical-level discussions in the coming weeks, and expressed a firm commitment to concluding the talks successfully as soon as possible.
