ISLAMABAD:

The Public Accounts Committee (PAC) on Thursday referred the case of illegal appointments in Pakistan Post to the National Accountability Bureau (NAB), citing serious irregularities in recruitment practices that exceeded approved advertisements.

The PAC session was presided over by Junaid Akbar Khan.

During the meeting, the PAC formed a fifth sub-committee under the chairmanship of Moeen Pirzada to address longstanding audit objections.

The committee, while reviewing the audit report of the Communications Division for the fiscal year 2023-24, expressed displeasure over the absence of the National Highway Authority (NHA) chairman. The communications secretary explained that the chairman was engaged in another important meeting.
