
A speeding trailer crushed to death a motorcycle rider along with his three children on GT Road in Okara.
All the victims died on the spot, while the trailer driver tried to escape, but was arrested by the police in a raid.
Muhammad Nadeem, a resident of village 24-2R was going to drop his two sons to a school along with his daughter when the speeding trailer crushed them to death on the GT Road.
A rescue team shifted the bodies of Nadeem, his sons, 10-year-old Aryan and eight-year-old Ayan, and six-year-old daughter Aiza Fatima to the Okara District Hospital.
In the meantime, the trailer driver who had fled from the spot was arrested.
The bodies of the four family members were shifted to their village from the hospital on a rescue service ambulance.
The mother of the children, who had lost them as well as her husband, fainted with grief amid a pall of gloom in the village. Shops in the village were closed in mourning.
The head of the family was an employee in a factory in Okara. The police said they were investigating the incident.
