Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP) Women's Wing leader and Chairperson of the Benazir Income Support Program (BISP), Senator Rubina Khalid, has lauded the role of the Pakistan armed forces, stating that they played a historic role in defending the nation and thwarted the enemy's plans on their own turf.
Speaking to reporters, Senator Khalid said, "We salute our brave armed forces. However, it is deeply regrettable that within our own country, the distinction between patriots and traitors has become blurred. Some individuals are setting conditions before the military, demanding proofs and raising voices for the release of a single man - someone deeply entrenched in corruption who has damaged the political grooming of our youth."
She added that while the general public is celebrating the armed forces' achievements, one particular political party is unable to digest this success. "They continue to campaign for the release of a convicted corrupt figure imprisoned in Adiala Jail," she said.
Senator Khalid emphasized PPP's legacy, stating, "We follow the ideology of Shaheed Zulfikar Ali Bhutto. Chairman Bilawal Bhutto Zardari has played a commendable role on the diplomatic front, effectively representing Pakistan's stance to the global community."
Touching on regional issues, she remarked, "The Kashmir dispute is now gaining international attention. This conflict has clearly shown that India can never be a friend to Pakistan. The steps taken by India have proven to be nothing but a pack of lies."
