Pindi bans illegal hide collection
The district administration has imposed a strict ban on the collection of sacrificial animal hides by all proscribed organisations, their affiliated seminaries, defence wings, mosques, and clerics. Any violation of this directive will result in legal action under the Anti-Terrorism Act.
The Rawalpindi Deputy Commissioner (DC) says only those organisations, mosques, religious groups, and NGOs that possess a valid permit from the Special Branch (SDD) will be allowed to collect animal hides during Eidul Azha.
Applications for obtaining a No Objection Certificate (NOC) can be submitted to the Office of the Deputy Commissioner, Rawalpindi. The deadline for submission is May 31.
The district administration has emphasised that having an NOC is mandatory for the collection of sacrificial animal hides on the occasion of Eid.
No individual or organisation will be allowed to collect hides without prior authorisation. Those interested in collecting hides must apply for an NOC by May 31.
