Non-Payment Of Salaries: 300 teachers stage sit-in protest

The protest was held against the delay in payments of salaries and regularisation of their services.

GILGIT: As many as 300 teachers of National Education Foundation in Gilgit-Baltistan staged a sit-in protest before the Legislative Assembly Secretariat on Saturday. The protest was held against the delay in payments of salaries and regularisation of their services. The teachers suspended the traffic for over eight hours. Later Speaker Wazir Baig addressed them and ensured that the issue would be taken with federal government.
