On Wednesday night, May 21, BTS member Jin returned to The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon with a memorable performance and interview.
For his appearance, he transformed the stage into a giant bed, creating a cozy atmosphere for his live rendition of “Don’t Say You Love Me,” the lead single from his newly released second solo EP, Echo. The seven-track EP, which follows his November debut solo project Happy, was released on May 16.
Following his intimate performance in Studio 6B, Jin sat down with host Jimmy Fallon for an engaging interview. In a playful twist, he reversed the usual roles by taking over Fallon’s desk and interviewing the late-night host himself. This marked Jin’s second solo visit to the show, following his first appearance in late 2024.
BTS has maintained a strong relationship with The Tonight Show, first appearing in 2018 with performances of their hits “Idol” and “I’m Fine.” The group returned in 2020 with multiple appearances, including virtual performances during the pandemic, and again in 2021 to promote their chart-topping singles “Butter” and “Permission to Dance.”
Earlier this year in March, Jin’s bandmate j-hope made his solo debut on the show, also opting for a relaxed vibe by wearing fluffy bunny slippers during his performance.
