Kid Cudi is expected to testify in Sean “Diddy” Combs’ federal sex trafficking trial this week, according to reports. Prosecutors confirmed he is third in line to take the stand and could testify as early as Wednesday afternoon.
The testimony follows claims presented in court on May 20 by Regina Ventura, mother of singer Cassie Ventura. She testified that Diddy demanded $20,000 from her in late 2011 after learning about Cassie’s relationship with Kid Cudi. She and her husband took out a home equity loan to meet the demand, only for Diddy to return the money days later without explanation.
Jurors were also shown a 2011 email from Cassie to her mother, in which she claimed Diddy had threatened to release two explicit videos of her. The message also alleged that Diddy said he would have someone harm both her and Kid Cudi.
“I was physically sick,” Regina told the court. “I knew he was trying to hurt my daughter.”
Cassie previously testified that Diddy had threatened to blow up Kid Cudi’s car in late 2011 or early 2012. In her 2023 civil suit, she referenced the threat, which Cudi later confirmed, stating that his car had indeed been set on fire in early 2012. No arrests were made in connection to the incident.
The court proceedings are ongoing, with Cudi’s upcoming testimony expected to provide further insight into Diddy’s alleged history of intimidation and abuse.
