
In a chilling turn of events, police in three separate parts of the city discovered the bodies of unidentified men on Saturday - each case cloaked in uncertainty, violence, and silence.
The Keamari police, on an information, found the body of a man with slit throat inside a house near Yousuf Goth in Baldia Town. Identity of the deceased and the cause of the death could not be ascertained. It was not immediately established whether the deceased was murdered or he took his own life. In a separate incident, the Mauripur police found a man dead with an injury mark on his head in an empty plot in Machar Colony.
The police claimed that the deceased was a drug addict and someone hit a heavy object on his head that proved fatal. Nothing was found on the body to identify the victim. Although biometric verification was conducted, but his identity could not be ascertained, the police said. The body was shifted to the Civil Hospital mortuary.
Separately, a decomposed body of a man was found near Old Clifton bridge. According to rescue sources, the body seems to be several days old, with visible signs of insect infestation at multiple parts. The deceased could not be identified immediately.
