Four Levies personnel martyred in Khuzdar attack

Four security personnel embraced martyrdom in a deadly attack by unidentified armed assailants on a Levies checkpost in the Naal tehsil of Balochistan’s Khuzdar district, officials confirmed late Friday night.
According to police sources, the incident occurred under the cover of darkness when multiple armed men opened fire on the Levies checkpost located in the Sumand area.
The martyred personnel have been identified as Maqbool, Khuda Bakhsh, Ijaz Ahmed, and Muhammad Ali. Their bodies were transported to a nearby medical facility.

Levies sources confirmed that the targeted check post was situated along the China-Pakistan Economic Corridor (CPEC) route. Despite being outnumbered, the Levies personnel reportedly put up a brave resistance against the attackers.
Following the incident, a large contingent of security forces rushed to the scene. Authorities immediately cordoned off the area and launched a comprehensive search operation to apprehend the perpetrators.
Levies officials further stated that the region has been placed under heightened security, and efforts are underway to trace those responsible for the ambush.
