Fleeing robbers kill child, injure aunt

The deceased child was the only brother of two sisters.

Armed robbers devastated one more family in the city which proves the police are helpless in combating the crimes.

According to reports, citizens were chasing fleeing robbers in Landhi 89 area. In their attempt to escape, the bandits opened fire as a result a bullet hit a 12-year-old boy in the head while his aunt was hit by a bullet in the neck. The victims were sitting outside their house due to power breakdown.

The deceased child was the only brother of two sisters. The number of citizens lost their lives in firing by armed robbers this year has reached 43.

The deceased child was identified as 12-year-old Muhammad Amin alias Shanu son of Abdul Nasir, while the injured woman has been identified as 35-year-old Nasira wife of Rizwan.

Suspect wanted for murder killed in encounter

The Shahrah-e-Noorjahan police killed a bandit and apprehended one in injured condition after an alleged encounter in Shadman Town, North Karachi, on the night between Wednesday and Thursday.

The police claimed that the bandits were involved in killing a 24-year-old youth Anas Shakeel on his resistance during a robbery attempt on May 11. The suspects were also involved in various crimes.
