Season 4 will focus on Benedict Bridgerton, played by Luke Thompson, and his romance with newcomer Sophie Baek, portrayed by Yerin Ha. In the clip, the two meet at a masquerade ball, setting the stage for what looks like a love-at-first-sight storyline.
The Bridgerton series, produced by Shonda Rhimes and based on Julia Quinn’s bestselling novels, is planned as an eight-season saga—each following one of the Bridgerton siblings’ love stories. With this renewal, Netflix has now greenlit at least six of the planned eight seasons.
Previous seasons have followed different Bridgerton siblings: Daphne (Season 1), Anthony (Season 2), and Colin (Season 3), with Season 3 released in two parts in 2024. The remaining Bridgerton siblings—Eloise, Francesca, Gregory, and Hyacinth—are expected to take center stage in future seasons.
The returning cast for Season 4 includes Jonathan Bailey, Nicola Coughlan, Claudia Jessie, Hannah Dodd, and Simone Ashley, among others. Julie Andrews continues her iconic role as the voice of Lady Whistledown.
Bridgerton remains one of Netflix’s most popular original series, blending romance, drama, and regency-era elegance with a diverse cast and global fanbase.
