A Los Angeles judge has issued a temporary restraining order for Halle Bailey against her ex-partner, rapper and YouTuber DDG, following allegations of physical, emotional, and verbal abuse. The order requires DDG, whose legal name is Darryl Dwayne Granberry Jr., to stay away from Bailey and their 17-month-old son, Halo, until a court hearing on 6 June.
Bailey alleged repeated abuse during their relationship, according to court documents cited by the Associated Press. The pair were in a relationship from 2022 until last year. Bailey described Granberry as “physically, verbally, emotionally, and financially abusive,” including a January incident in which she says he pulled her hair and slammed her face into a steering wheel, chipping her tooth. She provided photos of bruises and dental injuries as evidence.
In March, Bailey said Granberry entered her home while she was away and texted a threatening photo of her bed. Days later, she claimed he destroyed her Ring camera during a dispute and slammed a car door on her while she was holding their child.
She also asked the court to bar Granberry from using his social platforms to incite harassment, saying his public remarks about her have triggered threats and hate online.
Granberry has not publicly responded to the claims. The judge also ordered him not to possess any weapons. The restraining order could be extended for up to five years at next month’s hearing.
