
The University of Agriculture, Peshawar, in collaboration with the Pakistan Girl Guides Association, successfully concluded a three-day training program under the "Stay Safe Project." The initiative aimed to instill self-confidence, promote personal safety, and enhance leadership skills among young women.
Organized by the university's Youth Development Center, the closing ceremony was graced by Vice Chancellor Professor Emeritus Dr Jehan Bakht as the chief guest. Speaking on the occasion, Dr Bakht reaffirmed the university's commitment to not only academic excellence but also the holistic development and character building of its students. He encouraged female students to actively engage in the Stay Safe Project, emphasizing its long-term benefits.
"Such initiatives play a vital role in shaping responsible, empowered individuals ready to take on future challenges," he remarked.
The training also introduced students to practical life skills through the Girl Guides Association's platform, including first aid, environmental awareness, and tree plantation campaigns.
Other notable speakers included Director of the Youth Development Center Dr Anwar Ali Shad, Deputy Director Dr Humaira Waseela, Provincial Secretary of the Girl Guides Association Mehwish Gul.
