India launched six missiles from Adampur, five hit Amritsar: DG ISPR
DG ISPR Lieutenant General Ahmed Sharif Chaudhry informed early Saturday that India launched six ballistic missiles from the Adampur airbase in Indian Punjab. Of these, one missile landed near the general area of Adampur itself, while the remaining five struck locations in the Amritsar region.
The DG ISPR characterised the incident as a reckless move that endangered civilian lives and raised serious questions about India's operational intent and internal targeting protocols.
He asserted that the attacks were not accidental. “India is deliberately targeting Sikh-populated areas in Punjab to incite hostility among Sikhs toward Pakistan,” he stated.

Earlier on Friday, the DG ISPR challenged India to present evidence, if it has any, of Pakistan’s attacks on Indian military installations with drone and missiles. “Pakistan has not used drones or rockets. If India claims otherwise, let it present evidence,” he challenged, criticising Indian media for spreading “fabricated stories.”
Speaking at a briefing for foreign media, he said that the Pakistani military’s retaliation against India’s aggression was limited to the Indian military posts firing at civilian areas along the Line of Control (LoC).
Lt Gen Chaudhry was joined by PAF’s Director General Public Relations (DGPR) Air Vice Marshal Aurangzeb Ahmed, and Deputy Chief of Naval Staff (Operations) Rear Admiral Raja Rab Nawaz.
Chaudhry asserted that Indian forces are involved in terror activities not just in Pakistan, but in countries like the United States and Canada.
“There is credible evidence of Indian handlers assigning terror tasks to militants operating in Pakistan,” he said, adding that intercepted communications between Indian soldiers and terrorist operatives have been documented.
He denounced Indian media, stating it continuously spreads falsehoods. “Indian journalists like Barkha Dutt have used their platforms to amplify misinformation,” he said. He cited a recent case in the UK where an Indian diplomat falsely accused a person conducting a funeral prayer of terrorism.
He also refuted India’s claims linking Pakistan to the recent Pahalgam incident. “Pakistan has no connection with that event. If India believes otherwise, it should agree to an independent investigation,” he said.
“Pakistan is the final barrier against terrorism in the region,” DG ISPR concluded. “We do not support any terrorist organisation. We are its victims—and we fight back, not just for ourselves, but for regional peace.”
