Content creator Kayla Malec has publicly stated that she won her domestic violence court case against ex-boyfriend Evan Johnson.

Malec, who previously accused Johnson of physical and verbal abuse during their nine-month relationship, first shared her story in April through a series of emotional YouTube and TikTok videos. In them, she detailed her experience with alleged abuse, calling it one of the hardest things she’s ever had to talk about.

Johnson, who initially responded to the claims with a now-deleted video admitting to “wrongdoing” but denying exaggeration, was arrested on April 7 for alleged domestic assault and a probation violation. He was released on a $30,000 bond and appeared in court on April 22.

Following the verdict, Malec received an outpouring of support from fans and fellow creators. Musician Jacob Sartorius commented, “KAYLA YOU DID IT!!!!!!!!! I AM SO PROUD OF YOU,” while another fan wrote, “All of the girls who never got justice… are sobbing while we clap so loudly for you.”

Although the Sumner County Courthouse has yet to post the official verdict or sentencing details, Malec’s social media post has gone viral as she celebrates a legal victory. Her Campus reached out to Johnson’s legal team and local officials, but has not yet received a response.
