Speaking to Express News, Qureshi said that five tennis players including Roger Federer have sent their sports equipment for the auction.
He said that the auction will be held from United Nation’s platform.
Qureshi further said that he will also be visiting Peshawar and meet the governor of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa to discuss the rehabilitation of the the Pakistan Tennis Club at Shahi Bagh in Peshawar, which has been badly damaged in recent years.
The club is the country's only tennis centre founded by Mohammed Ali Jinnah and hence has great historical significance.
Qureshi has initiated a campaign to raise funds in collaboration with the Pakistan Tennis Federation and Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Tennis Federation.
Last year, Pakistan was hit by the worst floods in its history that caused $10 billion worth of damages and had affected 21 million people, whereas, tens of thousands of people are still living in refugee camps.

All the best Aisam ul haq Qureshi you are my hero
Aisam is a great man. We solute you !!!
I don't know why UN agencies are hungry for getting credit. People have lost hopes in the UN system which itself is corrupt and spreads corruption (especially in the Government agencies) wherever it works, in fact the Government and UN agencies live to save each other. The overhead expenditure of the UN are too high to let them spend others money on the poors. I am sure it is not the UNDP who have convinced Aisam to work for the noble cause.
True Hero!!!
