Julien Baker cancels tour with Torres to focus on health

Julien Baker has canceled her joint tour with Torres to prioritize personal health.

Musician Julien Baker has canceled the remainder of her joint tour with fellow artist Torres to focus on her health, according to an official statement posted on her Instagram account on May 4, 2025.

The announcement confirmed the cancellation of all upcoming dates for the “Send A Prayer My Way” tour, which was launched in support of the duo’s new collaborative album of the same name. “Due to recent events, Julien Baker is prioritizing her well-being and taking time to focus on her health,” the statement read. “This decision was not made lightly, and we understand the disappointment this may cause for fans. We deeply appreciate your understanding.”

The tour, which began on April 23 in Richmond, was originally scheduled to run through September 13, with performances planned at major music festivals including Utah’s Kilby Block Party, Oregon’s Pickathon, the Newport Folk Festival, Outside Lands in San Francisco, Milwaukee’s Summerfest, and Louisville’s Bourbon and Beyond Festival.

Baker and Torres most recently performed a sold-out show at Tipitina’s in New Orleans on May 1. The next scheduled stop was San Antonio, where the artists were expected to perform on May 4 before the tour was officially called off.

While Baker did not publicly share specific details about the circumstances prompting the decision, her earlier Instagram post just days before the announcement had expressed enthusiasm for the tour, saying, “Getting to play these songs for y’all has been unbelievably fun… Keep an eye out for more tour news soon.”

Fans who purchased tickets are advised that refunds and additional ticketing information will be issued by the original point of purchase. The duo expressed gratitude for fans’ support and compassion during this time.
