24 new police stations set up to fight crimes

The Rawalpindi district has got 11 CCD police stations

In the wake of an alarming surge in serious crimes such as robbery, theft, rape, and abduction, particularly the rising trend in street crime, the Punjab Home Department has established a new Crime Control Department (CCD) within the Rawalpindi Division.

Under this initiative, 24 new CCD police stations have been set up, and an official notification has been issued for their establishment.

The Rawalpindi district has got 11 CCD police stations, Attock district six police stations, Jhelum district four police stations, Chakwal district three police stations.

Deployment of officers and staff to these CCD police stations is expected in the coming week. In the Rawalpindi district, the CCD police stations will cover Cantt Circle, Taxila Circle, Civil Lines Circle, Saddar Circle, Gujar Khan Circle, Kahuta Circle, City Circle, New Town Circle, and Waris Khan Circle.

In Attock district, Saddar Circle, Hazro Circle, Hassan Abdal Circle, Jand Circle, Pindi Gheb Circle, and Fateh Jang Circle fall under the new CCD police stations.

In Jhelum district, CCD police stations have been established in City Circle, Saddar Circle, and other areas.
