Murder suspect shot dead in encounter

The Crime Control Department (CCD) encountered a man accused of killing two policemen was killed in the encounter while his three accomplices escaped.

This is the first police encounter of the Crime Control Department formed in Faisalabad. The police took the body into custody and shifted it to the hospital.

They registered a case under various sections against the escaped and slain accused and started searching for their absconding accomplices. CCD Madina Town Division Sub-Inspector Ali Ikram Goraya, in-charge, along with his team, was conducting a roadblock in Mulanpur Chowk Thikriwala to arrest the accused.

During this time, a police party signaled four suspicious persons riding on two motorcycles to stop them. Instead of stopping, they opened fire directly on the police party, after a police encounter took place between the CCD and the accused which continued for twenty minutes.

During this time, one accused, Elahi Bakhsh, son of Sardar, resident of Gali No. 3, Ayub Colony, Faisalabad, was injured and shifted to the hospital.
