Adam Devine, known for his role in The Righteous Gemstones, recently shared a humorous parenting trick that’s cracking people up.

In an interview on The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon, Devine revealed a clever technique he’s been using to get his one-year-old son, Beau, to listen to him — and it’s a move only a comedian could come up with.

Devine explained that his son isn’t always keen on listening to him, particularly when it comes to safety advice. “He doesn't like to listen to me or do the things that I would like for him to do,” Devine said, joking about trying to warn Beau not to eat dangerous items, like Clorox. So, what does he do? Devine switches things up by talking to Beau in the voice of Elmo, Beau's favorite character.

“I've taken over control of your daddy's body! Elmo's your daddy now,” Devine said, showing off an impressive Elmo impression that left Fallon in awe. “Amazing,” Fallon remarked, praising the spot-on impression.

The hilarious hack quickly gained attention online, with many fans expressing their amusement. One person commented, "OMG his Elmo impression would have fooled me if I closed my eyes 😍🔥👏," while another said, "I love Adam. He’s the absolute best."

Devine went on to joke that Beau is "cool" with Elmo taking over his dad's body. He teased that Beau might not always listen to him, but Elmo could easily win his attention.

While Adam and his wife, Chloe Bridges, try to limit Beau’s TV time, Devine admitted that Elmo is his son’s favorite character. Devine also humorously shared how his wife once walked in on him watching a violent show and joked about their TV rules, adding another layer of comedic parenting moments to his interview.
