After dominating the anime scene in early 2025, Solo Leveling Season 2 left fans hungry for more — but there’s still no official word on Season 3.
In a new interview with Deadline, Crunchyroll President Rahul Purini finally addressed the elephant in the room, giving fans a small dose of hope... and a big dose of reality.
When asked if Solo Leveling Season 3 is on the way, Purini said, “We hope so,” while explaining the decision isn’t solely up to Crunchyroll. He noted that while the demand is sky-high, the production team at A-1 Pictures is juggling several projects. “Anime is really popular, so there’s a lot of demand, and so we have to find the right time to get started on the next season,” he said.
This lines up with recent comments from Sung Jinwoo’s English voice actor Aleks Le, who warned fans that Season 3 won’t be coming out for a while. While disappointing, the message is clear: everyone wants it to happen — they just need time.
Producer Atsushi Kaneko even joked on Reddit that fans need to channel their inner Dragon Ball Spirit Bomb energy to help make Season 3 a reality.
Until then, Solo Leveling fans can only wait — and maybe rewatch Season 2 — while hoping the creators can level up production soon.
