The Pakistan Super League (PSL) Season 10 match between Quetta Gladiators and Lahore Qalandars was called off on Thursday due to heavy rain and a windstorm at Gaddafi Stadium in Lahore.
Both teams, sitting second and third on the points table with nine points each, were unable to capitalize on the opportunity to challenge Islamabad United's top position. Consequently, they each earned one point from the abandoned match.
Earlier, Lahore Qalandars won the toss and chose to bat first. However, their innings were disrupted by a severe dust storm, leading to a halt in play.
Prior to the interruption, the Qalandars had scored 111/3 in 11.3 overs. Fakhar Zaman was dismissed for a duck on the third delivery, but Abdullah Shafique and Mohammad Naeem steadied the innings with a 102-run partnership. Naeem contributed 50 runs off 30 balls, while Shafique remained unbeaten on 53 runs from 32 balls.
The Qalandars are scheduled to face Karachi Kings on Sunday, while the Gladiators will play against Islamabad United on Saturday.
