Four people have died and 13 others have been injured following a landslide in Algeria’s western coastal city of Oran, authorities said on Sunday.
The incident occurred late Saturday in the Hai Essanouber district, according to the civil defence agency.
The victims included individuals aged between five and 43 years old, while those injured ranged from 12 to 75 years old, officials confirmed.
Authorities have not commented on the cause of the landslide. However, the interior ministry reported that the collapse of five tin houses had been caused by the disaster.
With no one reported missing, the ministry said the death toll was final.
