Another polio case has been confirmed in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa's Bannu district, making it the third reported from the province and the eighth nationwide so far this year.
The confirmation comes amid the country's second nationwide anti-polio campaign of the year, which is currently underway from April 21 to April 27.
The campaign aims to administer oral polio vaccines to 45.4 million children under the age of five across Pakistan.
According to the National Institute of Health (NIH), another nationwide campaign will follow from May 26 to June 1 as part of continued efforts to eradicate the virus.
