Justin Bieber once again brought attention to the challenges celebrities face with paparazzi, taking to Instagram to post a video filmed from the first-person point of view to highlight the intense media scrutiny he endures.

In the clip, recorded using the phone’s rear camera, Bieber walks down a dimly lit path, toward a black van as photographers rapidly fire off camera flashes in his direction. Surrounding by his security team, the singer pauses midway to do a 360 turn, capturing the group of paparazzi surrounding him on all sides.

Despite his security team’s efforts to intervene, the flashing continues uninterrupted. One team member shines a torch into the photographers’ lenses in an attempt to deter them while telling them to back off and leave. Bieber captioned the video, “This has to stop”.

This incident adds to a long series of confrontations Bieber has had with paparazzi throughout his career. In 2013, he was involved in a widely reported clash with a photographer in London, during which he had to be physically restrained by a bodyguard.

In 2014, he faced legal charges in Canada following a collision with a photographer. As recently as April 2025, Bieber had words with paparazzi in Palm Springs during a public outing, citing their lack of respect for personal space.
