Grammy-winning Nigerian superstar Burna Boy has once again made music history, becoming the first African artist to headline and sell out the iconic Stade de France in Paris.

The record-breaking concert took place on April 18, 2025, drawing over 80,000 fans to the 80,000-capacity stadium.

This sold-out show at France’s national stadium is a landmark moment not just for Burna Boy, but for the global recognition of the Afrobeats genre. The electrifying night featured opening performances by Nigerian singer Nissi and Afrobeats favorite Fireboy DML, who energized the crowd ahead of the headliner.

Burna Boy delivered a dynamic performance filled with chart-topping hits and fan favorites. The show featured surprise guest appearances by artists including French singer Dadju, Joé Dwèt Filé, Nigerian rapper Shallipopi, and British star Dave. One of the night’s highlights was Dave joining Burna Boy for a live rendition of their hit song Location, igniting a wave of excitement across the stadium.

In an emotional moment, Burna Boy addressed the crowd: “Merci beaucoup, Paris! This is bigger than me, it’s for Africa, it’s for every dreamer.”

Social media quickly lit up with viral clips and praise from fans and fellow artists. Nigerian producer Don Jazzy tweeted, “What Burna Boy is doing for African music is beyond legendary. Stade de France? Sold out? History has been made!”

This milestone follows Burna Boy’s previous sold-out shows at Madison Square Garden, London Stadium, and Paris La Défense Arena, solidifying his status as a global music icon and a trailblazer for African music on the world stage.
