KARACHI:

He was a lonely old man, whose death was noticed only when the stench from the corpse announced it to the public.

The two day old drowned body of Muhammad Raheem, a homeless person, was recovered from the underground water tank of a mosque in the Saeedabad municipality. It was retrieved and transferred to the Civil Hospital for medico-legal proceedings.

Raheem, a homeless person, would often sleep on the footpath or inside the mosque's boundary. SHO Saeedabad stated that Raheem frequently washed his clothes near the mosque's water tank and it is suspected that he might have fallen into the tank while washing, leading to his death.
