PTI's Aliya detained in Rawalpindi

RAWALPINDI:

Police on Friday detained PTI Punjab Chief Organizer Aliya Hamza and a party worker, Shamim Aftab, during a raid in the garrison city.

According to police sources, Aliya and Shamim were attending a PTI workers' convention in Chaklala Scheme III of the city. They said the PTI leader has not been formally arrested in any case.

Both women were transferred to a women police station. Sources said as of late at night, no decision had been made regarding which case Aliya Hamza would be formally arrested under.
