ISLAMABAD:

PTI leaders have filed contempt of court petitions in the Islamabad High Court against the Adiala Jail superintendent and the Punjab home secretary for denying access to PTI founder Imran Khan, despite court orders.

The petitions were filed by Imran's sister Aleema Khanum, Leader of the Opposition in the National Assembly Omar Ayub and Sunni Ittehad Council (SIC) chief Sahibzada Muhammad Hamid Raza.

In her petition, Aleema contended that the respondents - Adiala jailer Noorul Ameen Maingal and home secretary Abdul Ghafoor Anjum - have put illegal restriction on meeting with the PTI founder.
