Lil Wayne has officially confirmed the full lineup of artists featured on his upcoming album Tha Carter VI, set for release on 6 June 2025. In a new Rolling Stone interview, the rapper shared fresh details about the long-anticipated project, which fans have awaited since his last solo release.
Speaking to journalist Andre Gee, Lil Wayne named several major collaborators, including Wyclef Jean, Miley Cyrus, Elephant Man, Machine Gun Kelly, Bono, Wheezy, Kanye West, and his son Kameron Carter. He also revealed that Andrea Bocelli makes a surprise appearance on the album. One track reportedly features a Billie Eilish sample that has not yet been cleared.
“If there’s one thing about this album that’s different, it’s me approaching it like, ‘Man, what would I sound like on something with such and such?’” Wayne said, hinting at the creative process behind his musical pairings.
Wyclef Jean, reflecting on their work together, told Rolling Stone, “Leaving Wyclef Jean and Lil Wayne in a studio for 24 hours is a dangerous thing. You don’t know what’s going to pop out".
In the same interview, Lil Wayne addressed public speculation about not performing at Super Bowl LIX, instead offering support to Kendrick Lamar, who headlined the halftime show.
He also commented on his future with the Super Bowl: “They stole that feeling. I don’t want to do it. It was perfect.”
