Netflix’s Emily in Paris will begin filming its fifth season this May in Rome, ahead of a return to Paris later this summer. The upcoming season features the return of Lily Collins, Lucas Bravo, Lucien Laviscount, and Eugenio Franceschini, while some cast changes are confirmed.

Set just days after the events of Season 4, the new season follows Emily as she moves to Rome to lead Agence Grateau’s Italian office. She faces new professional and romantic challenges, particularly involving Marcello (Franceschini), her confident new Italian love interest.

The returning ensemble includes Philippine Leroy-Beaulieu, Samuel Arnold, Bruno Gouery, William Abadie, and Ashley Park. However, Camille Razat, who played Camille in the first four seasons, will not return. Thalia Besson’s status as Geneviève remains unconfirmed.

Season 5 will include scenes in a picturesque fictional village near Rome and revisit key Parisian locations like Gabriel’s Michelin-starred restaurant.

Last year, French President Emmanuel Macron previously stated that France “will fight hard” to keep the series filming in the country, following a lighthearted exchange with Rome’s mayor about the show's growing Italian influence.

Emily in Paris Season 5 is set to premiere on Netflix later this year.
