IHC sets date for hearing Imran, Bushra appeals
The Islamabad High Court (IHC) has directed that the appeals of Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf founder Imran Khan and his spouse Bushra Bibi — challenging their convictions in the pound 190 million reference — be fixed for hearing within two weeks.
A division bench comprising IHC Caretaker Chief Justice Sarfraz Dogar and Justice Inam Ameen Minhas heard miscellaneous petitions seeking early hearings of the appeals and suspension of the sentences.
Lawyers Zaheer Abbas and Usman Riaz Gul appeared on behalf of Imran Khan while Advocate Ali Bukhari represented Bushra Bibi.
