Selena Gomez will be honoured with the 2025 Woman of the Year award at the Billboard Latin Women in Music event on April 24. Now in its third year, the annual ceremony honours influential women in Latin music who have demonstrated exceptional success, leadership, and cultural impact. Gomez joins previous recipients Shakira and Karol G in receiving the recognition.
The 32-year-old artist has achieved three Billboard No. 1 albums and 42 entries on the Billboard Hot 100 chart. Her notable hits include the chart-topping singles “Lose You to Love Me” and “Taki Taki.” In 2021, her Spanish-language EP Revelación earned her a Grammy nomination for Best Latin Pop Album.
Beyond her musical accomplishments, Gomez is also being recognised for her work in mental health advocacy and her commitment to social justice initiatives, which have become a significant part of her public platform.
The awards ceremony will air exclusively on Telemundo on April 24 at 9 p.m. ET. In addition to Gomez, the event will celebrate several other artists, including Celia Cruz, Anitta, Belinda, Chiquis, Ha*Ash, Natti Natasha, and Olga Tañón.
