Among his go-to wellness tools are freeform writing, where he writes his thoughts for 12 minutes and discards the paper, and transcendental meditation, which he describes as “wonderful.” He also mentioned proprioception exercises and the Costello Method, created by Jim Costello, as particularly useful for people with ADHD or autism.
Martin also credited The Oxygen Advantage, a book on breathing techniques, and music by Jon Hopkins for their calming effects. He named the film Sing Sing as something that brings him joy during difficult times.
“These are some of the things that help me stay grateful and happy to be alive,” he shared warmly, closing with, “I send you lots of love.”
Chris Martin previously discussed mental health in a 2023 NME interview, revealing how Coldplay’s album Moon Music helped him navigate emotional struggles. With Coldplay’s UK tour on the horizon, Martin’s openness brings deeper meaning to the band’s message of resilience and hope.
