
Pakistan’s Meteorological Department has forecast rain, thunderstorms, and hail in several parts of the country over the next few days.
According to the advisory, rainfall is expected in Islamabad and other northern cities from April 16 to 18, with isolated showers likely again on the evening of April 20.
Areas including Talagang, Jhelum, Chakwal, Jhang, Toba Tek Singh, Gujrat, and Gujranwala are also likely to experience rain and possible hail.
In the Khyber-Pakhtunkhwa province, cities like Swat, Shangla, Buner, Mardan, and Peshawar are forecast to receive rain and hail from April 16 to 20.
Murree, Dera Ismail Khan, Tank, Bannu, Galiyat, and Waziristan are also on the list.
Southern Punjab is expected to face gusty winds and thunderstorms on April 18 and 19.
The department has warned of potential landslides in Murree, Kashmir, Gilgit-Baltistan, and Galiyat during this period. Citizens have been advised to avoid standing near trees and electric poles during storms.
Meanwhile, Sindh is set to endure sweltering temperatures this week, with most cities forecast to remain under clear, sunny skies.
Karachi is expected to record maximum temperatures between 35°C and 39°C from Tuesday to Thursday, with humidity levels reaching 81%.
Inland cities will see far higher temperatures. Hyderabad is likely to hit between 44°C and 48°C over the next three days, while Nawabshah is forecast to touch a blistering 49°C by Thursday.
Sukkur, Mohenjo-daro, and Dadu will also face extreme heat, with highs ranging from 43°C to 48°C.
Thatta, with high humidity of 81%, will experience temperatures between 36°C and 40°C. Mithi is also expected to see steady temperatures from 43°C to 47°C.
