Babar Azam registers unwanted record in PSL

The record came during Zalmi’s match against Quetta Gladiators, where Babar was dismissed for duck by Mohammad Amir

Peshawar Zalmi captain Babar Azam recorded an unwanted milestone in the ongoing HBL Pakistan Super League (PSL) 10, becoming one of the batters with the most ducks in the tournament’s history.

The record came during Zalmi’s match against Quetta Gladiators at the Rawalpindi Cricket Stadium, where Babar was dismissed for a duck by Mohammad Amir. It was his latest addition to a growing list of scoreless innings in the PSL.

Following this dismissal, Babar has now equalled the tally of former Peshawar Zalmi wicketkeeper-batsman Kamran Akmal and overtaken Lahore Qalandars skipper Shaheen Afridi in the list of players with the most ducks in PSL history.

The record for the most ducks in PSL remains with Islamabad United all-rounder Imad Wasim, who has been dismissed without scoring on 12 occasions. He is followed by former Zalmi pacer Wahab Riaz, who has 10 ducks to his name.

Babar’s form will be under close watch as Peshawar Zalmi look to bounce back in the tournament after a rocky start.
