
Spotify has confirmed that it has resolved a global outage that affected thousands of users for about an hour this morning.
The issues began around 10:00 BST, with users across the UK, US, and other regions reporting problems accessing the music streaming platform.
More than 7,500 issues were reported in the UK, while nearly 4,000 users in the US also faced difficulties.
Users reported various problems, including issues with the app, the website, and video streaming. Some users also noted seeing a black screen or being unable to log in at all.
In a statement posted to X, Spotify’s support account (@SpotifyCares) assured users that the problems were now resolved, thanking them for their patience.

The platform suggested users reinstall the app if issues persist and directed them to customer service for further assistance.
While the cause of the outage remains unclear, the service has resumed and is operational. Many frustrated users took to X to share their experiences, with some mentioning errors while loading the app or facing a black screen.
