As The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills approaches the end of its 14th season, Kyle Richards and Kathy Hilton offered a candid update on their sister Kim Richards' condition amid her continued recovery. The remarks were made during part two of the RHOBH reunion special, which aired on Bravo.

When host Andy Cohen brought up reports suggesting Kim had been struggling since her 2024 relapse, both sisters acknowledged the situation but noted improvements in her wellbeing. "She's spending time [in Florida]. You know, I think she's doing better," Kathy Hilton said, before Kyle added, "Better than the last time there was stuff about her in the press, yes."

In September 2024, Kim made headlines after reportedly relapsing into alcohol addiction, leading to an incident involving police intervention at a property in Encino, California—owned by Kyle. Authorities confirmed they were responding to a disturbance but found no legal restraining order on file and deemed no crime had been committed.

Around the same time, Kim was placed under a 5150 psychiatric hold after displaying concerning behaviour at a Hilton hotel. Following her release, Kyle reportedly took her in, providing a stable environment to aid her recovery.

Sources close to the family previously told PEOPLE that Kim’s struggle with addiction has long been a point of tension among the sisters. Kyle, in particular, is said to carry much of the emotional and financial responsibility. “She does her best to take care of Kim — and essentially bankrolls Kim’s life, with Kathy — but never knows where the line goes between helping and enabling,” the insider said.

Though the family has remained private about specific details, their latest update suggests cautious optimism as Kim continues her recovery.

The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills airs Tuesdays at 8 p.m. ET on Bravo.
