As Denis Villeneuve gears up for the next chapter of his sci-fi epic, Dune: Messiah, it looks like a major Hollywood star might be joining the sand-swept saga.

According to Variety, Robert Pattinson is reportedly being eyed for a key role in Dune 3.

While no official offer has been extended yet, insiders suggest there is significant interest from the filmmakers in casting Pattinson, who would star alongside returning leads Timothée Chalamet and Zendaya.

Pattinson’s recent collaboration with Zendaya in A24’s upcoming film The Drama only adds fuel to the excitement.

Currently, Pattinson is busy filming Christopher Nolan’s The Odyssey and preparing for his return as Bruce Wayne in The Batman Part II, slated for release in 2027.

If he accepts the alleged offer, Pattinson would reportedly take on the role of Scytale, a shape-shifting Face Dancer and a key antagonist from Frank Herbert’s Dune: Messiah novel.

Scytale is a member of the secretive Bene Tleilax, a society skilled in genetic engineering and deception.

His mission in Dune: Messiah sets the stage for political upheaval and conflict against Paul Atreides, a decade after the events of Dune: Part Two.

Fans are particularly excited at the prospect of seeing Pattinson embrace a darker, more sinister character in the sprawling Dune universe—a stark contrast to his recent heroic roles.

With Dune: Messiah promising even more political intrigue, betrayal, and philosophical depth, the potential addition of Robert Pattinson would only heighten the already sky-high anticipation for Villeneuve’s next installment.
