According to informed sources, a PC-1 (Project Concept-1) has been prepared for the construction of a 3,000-bed hospital on the site of the old GTS bus stand at Chohar Chowk.
The construction of the project will begin later this year, with funding for the project to be approved under the Public Service Development Project (PSDP).
The hospital will also include a ward for heart patients. The establishment of Kulsoom Nawaz Hospital will benefit not only the local population of Rawalpindi but also the people of Taxila, Attock, Haripur, Fateh Jang, Tarnol, Hassan Abdal, and Golra.
Local MNA Malik Ibra and MPA Malik Iftikhar say their government is committed to transforming Rawalpindi into a developed city.
The construction of this hospital was a long-standing dream as in the past, the area was neglected due to politics, but now the power lies in the hands of the people's chosen representatives, they add.
According to PML-N legislators, the construction of Kulsoom Nawaz Hospital will mark the beginning of a new era of development in the constituency. Special funds will be allocated for this project, and Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif will lay its foundation stone.
