Two alleged robbers were shot dead by a police officer in Sachal Ghazi Goth.
According to the SHO Sachal, two robbers, riding a motorcycle, looted cash and mobile phones from citizens at gunpoint, and were fleeing when an officer, Ali Haider, opened fire on them with his licensed pistol. Both robbers died on the spot and their bodies were shifted to the Abbasi Shaheed Hospital.
Police recovered two pistols, a motorcycle and more than half a dozen mobile phones from their possession. Although the bandits could not immediately be identified, their ages were estimated to range from 25 to 30 years.
Meanwhile, in a video statement, Officer Ali Haider stated that he is posted at the Sohrab Goth police station.
He said, he was sitting at a tea shop with his friends when the two armed robbers came, loaded their weapons, and snatched mobile phones from him and his friends, as well as from others at the cafe.
He stated, as the robbers attempted to flee, he opened fire and killed them.
