Pakistan's cricket team has been penalised for maintaining a slow over-rate during the first ODI against New Zealand, resulting in a 10% fine on their match fees.

Match referee imposed the penalty after Pakistan fell two overs short of the required rate, in accordance with International Cricket Council (ICC) regulations.

The match, played on Saturday, saw New Zealand secure a commanding 73-run victory over Pakistan.

Pakistan and New Zealand are currently engaged in a three-match ODI series. The second match is scheduled for tomorrow, while the final fixture will take place on April 5.
