Cop held for forgery

A police constable posted at Gulab Mandi police station has been charged with forgery after allegedly preparing fake bail bonds and court orders to illegally clear an accused in a criminal case.

According to the FIR, Constable Yasin, who was serving as an assistant court officer, fabricated judicial documents to secure the release of a suspect. The fraud came to light when a magistrate detected discrepancies in the paperwork and filed a written complaint with Lahore CCPO.

"An inquiry proved Yasin prepared counterfeit court orders and bail bonds," a police spokesperson said. The case has been registered under charges of forgery.
