In December 2024, a source told Us Weekly that Swift was “looking forward to some time off” but also planning to start work “on a new album” and potentially tour again in 2026. Since then, Swift has remained tight-lipped. Yet, her devoted fanbase has been busy decoding clues that may indicate her next move.

At the 2025 Grammy Awards, Swift wore earrings embedded with 12 rubies, which fans interpreted as a nod to album number 12.
