LAHORE:

Punjab University Vice Chancellor Dr Muhammad Ali on Tuesday inaugurated Pakistan's first exhibition on artistic bookbinding of rare manuscripts.

The exhibition titled 'Tajdeed-e-Naqoosh' showcased artistic bookbinding from the institution's manuscript collection.

Curator Amina Cheema said the exhibition not only addressed the historical invisibility of artistic bookbinding and illumination but also raised critical questions regarding typology, contextualisation, display methodologies and the complexities of metadata.
